Fishilishious – easy and light

Searching for something perfect for late dinner? You are exactly at the right time in the right place. Tonight I will share with you a perfect recipe – oven-baked salmon. Preparation took me around 45 min.

INGREDIENTS FOR 2 PORTIONS

  • Salmon 400 gr
  •  Lemons 0.5 pcs.
  •  Onions 0.5 pcs.
  •  Bay leaf 3 pcs.
  •  Allspice 5 pcs.
  •  Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
  •  Ground black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Prepare the ingredients: salmon, half an onion, half a lemon, lemon juice, bay leaves, allspice peas, black pepper, and salt to taste. Rinse salmon (I have frozen one) thoroughly, peel off films, if there are fins, remove.

Cut into portions along the ridge or into steaks. Salt and pepper the fish. Any redfish can be used: trout, salmon, or pink salmon. It is worth considering that if you use pink salmon, then this fish is not as oily as salmon and trout, so you need to additionally grease the fish with vegetable oil. Cut half the lemon into thin slices. Citrus fruits well set off the taste of fish, which itself is practically tasteless. At the same time, salmon absorbs the aromas of spices well and its taste often depends on what accompanying products it will cook with. Fish and lemon and / or lemon juice is a classic combination that is required in most fish recipes.

Peel the onion and cut into rings or half rings. Onions will add juiciness and a pleasant aroma to the fish. Place a double sheet of foil in a small baking dish. This is necessary so that the foil does not break and the juice from the dish does not flow out of the envelope. Spread the chopped onion on top. Place bay leaves and peppercorns on the onion. Top with lemon slices. A layer of onion and lemon, when baked, protects the fish from direct contact with the hot dish, so it will not burn or dry out. Place the fish fillets on the lemon slices. Top the fish with lemon juice. Carefully wrap the fish in foil, carefully gathering the edges over it so that the juice does not leak out when baking.

Place the fish in an oven preheated to 200 ° C for 25 minutes. Carefully, don’t burn yourself, unfold the foil envelope and serve the fish, along with the onion and lemon, to the table. Sprinkle fresh herbs on the dish if desired. Enjoy your perfect meal!
